Fr. Charles Viviano

Pastor

As a graduate of both a Catholic Elementary School (Lourdes Academy, Daytona Beach) & High School (Father Lopez, Daytona Beach – “Go Green Waves!”), and Thanks to the sacrifice of my parents, Catholic Education has given me both the best spiritual and academic experiences that I could have ever wished for.  My foundational roots are solidly planted and the benefits I received will last a lifetime.  As a native Floridian, my priestly vocation seed was planted while I was in elementary school.  After graduating from high school and being accepted as a seminarian for the Diocese of Orlando, I entered Saint Meinrad Seminary in Southern Indiana, where I graduated from their College division with a B.A. in English. From there it was on to my Theological studies at Saint Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, FL., where I received my Master of Divinity.  After my Ordination in 1989, I served as the parochial vicar in several Parishes with schools – and then as pastor in two parishes without a school.  In 2012, I was blest to come to Resurrection Catholic Church & School in Lakeland.  It is a pleasure, as the pastor, to share with our school children the beauty of Jesus and our Catholic Faith, and to be able to give witness to the next generation of believers.  I am part of a great Team here at Resurrection and our Catholic School holds a special place in my heart.
