Curriculum

Our curricular programs are reviewed periodically by diocesan and school committees. The reviews are scheduled over a five-year period for all subject areas. Curriculum guides for all grades are available in the school office.

Early Childhood Program (3 and 4 year old programs)

The Early Childhood program is a developmentally appropriate program for children who are 3 or 4 years old by September 1st of the current year. The Early Childhood program runs from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm, with before and after care available. A Florida certified teacher is assigned to each classroom and is assisted by a classroom aide. The daily schedule includes faith development, small and whole group learning time, center exploration, and outdoor play. Art, library story time, Music, Technology and P.E. further enrich the curriculum. Themed activity days are a hallmark of our hands-on approach to early childhood education.

Technology

It is the goal of Resurrection Catholic School to provide access to technology for the students in a manner consistent with creating and maintaining a school of excellence. Technology is used as a tool within the context of student instruction and lesson plans are designed to integrate technology into the curriculum. Students are encouraged to use technology tools to set goals, plan activities, and evaluate results rather than passively completing assignments without reflection. We utilize a variety of instructional technology, including interactive whiteboards, document cameras, chromebooks, and iPads.

Religion & Service

Our students grow and excel through their involvement in our rich academic, cultural, and spiritual environment. At Resurrection Catholic School, Religion is not only part of the curriculum, it is reinforced through inter and extracurricular activities celebrating traditions and providing service to those in need.
